AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM This program is designed for the kids to learn what it's like to have horses of their own. They will ride 2- to 3-days a week. The other days are non- riding, horse management day where lessons cover feeding, watering, cleaning tack, basic vet care, and learning how to take care of your own horse. About 45 minutes are set aside to do homework each day. Each child will be assigned a horse or pony of "their own" and will be treated as such. We offer boarding for children who own their own horses. Starting in the spring of 2008 we will be picking children up at Dripping Springs DSISD elementary schools, with plans to add Circle C.
Pick-up times & late fees Children need to be picked up by 6:30 p.m. to avoid a late fee of $1 a minute or "Parents are subject to hard labor of cleaning out paddocks."
School holidays & teacher workdays Full day camps are held on all of the teacher workdays days and single-day holidays such as MLK day, Veterans day, Labor day, and Presidents day.

GROUP & PRIVATE LESSONS Our lessons are follow the program of the United States Pony Club. Certain goals need to be achieved in order for the rider to move up to more advanced lessons. The Pony Club program consists of 5 levels; the first two are described below: Level 1: Basic horse management skills such as the proper way to get your horse out of the paddock, tie a horse, groom, saddle, and bridle a horse with out assistance. Riding lessons cover holding the reins correctly, correct riding position at the walk, trot and canter, showing basic jumping position, and starting jumping. Level 2: Horse management skills are a little more developed, such as holding a horse for a farrier, knowing what the horse eats and why, telling the difference between a jumping saddle and a dressage saddle, and understanding what kind of bit the horse needs and why. Riding skills include showing correct position at walk, posting and sitting trot, and canter sitting and jumping position, jumping basic obstacles in arena, start to ride and be comfortable riding out in the open.
